I saw a grey heron on Lake Fortuna today. It stood motionless for hours. What patience these birds have…

The pelican's silhouette is unmistakable – wide wings, neck pulled back. I managed to sketch it in my notebook. Your guide is wonderful!

I tried the recommended khaki clothes. The birds no longer flee immediately. You can see the difference. Thanks for the advice!

Early morning on the Sulina channel – I counted seven different species. The silence is incredible. I recommend it to anyone.

I noticed how the little egret moves its neck in rhythm with the wind. It looks like a dance. What therapy for the soul!

Hello! I read the article about the silhouette in flight. How do I tell a cormorant from a pelican when they are far away?

The cormorant has narrower wings and flies with its neck stretched forward. The pelican keeps its neck pulled back, like an S. Also look at the wingbeats – the pelican beats slower.

Great, thanks! I'll take my binoculars tomorrow morning to the Letea sandbank. They say great egrets also pass through there.

Yes, it's a wonderful place. Wear clothes in shades of brown and olive green – you'll see more. Good luck!
